EPIDEMIOLOGICAL EXPERTISE
The main task for the epidemiological core is to select the study sample and help the database core to harmonize the available information. The twin registers have longitudinal information covering several decades and the epidemiological core will also coordinate the use of these data for larger longitudinal studies. Furthermore, the epidemiological core will use already existing data for classic twin studies as well as newer twin designs which include intrapair differences among co-twins in the epidemiological analyses.
